Hello, I am a concerned constituent living in 49512. I am calling on you to support NIH and NSF funding and to reverse the decision to cap NIH indirect costs at 15%. This cap will devastate research institutions, will lead to layoffs, reduced staff, and will jeopardize critical scientific progress. Indirect costs fund essential infrastructure and support that's needed for discoveries driving innovation and economic growth for the state of Michigan. Every $1 from NIH generates $2.46 in economic activity, supporting more than 400,000 jobs in 2023 alone. I hope you will stand up and represent Michigan well by opposing this change and working to reverse it.
