Block any ban on gender-affirming hormone therapy for transgender youth. These bans are not just cruel — federal courts have repeatedly struck them down as unconstitutional, and the administration must stop enforcing policies that have no legal standing and no credible medical basis. The evidence does not support restricting this care. Major medical organizations including the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Medical Association, and the Endocrine Society all affirm gender-affirming hormone therapy as evidence-based, medically necessary treatment. Removing access does not make trans youth safer — research consistently links withdrawal of gender-affirming care to increased depression and suicidality. There is no comparable alternative being offered in its place. Trans youth are not a political abstraction. They are patients with doctors, families, and treatment plans that are being ripped apart by ideologically driven policy. Defend their right to healthcare. Do not let an illegal ban on life-saving medicine stand.
