Please urge your colleagues to subpoena Secretary Kennedy and inquire as to why the various vaccine panels have been cancelled or postponed. Please advocate for the creation of the flu vaccine for next year, especially given how bad the flu has been this year. People will die without the flu vaccine. Please subpoena Secretary Kennedy also to answer for why Congressionally-allotted funding is not being used by NIH, CDC, and similar organizations. The stopping of experimental treatments and grants that they previously funded is hurting Americans. This is what we pay taxes for, and the Courts are not moving fast enough. Please consider making a case under the Impoundment Act or other budgeting power acts to argue for an end to the funding freezes. Please do not fire Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid workers, who help many Americans navigate a complicated system. Please vote against the Republican budget bill that ends Medicaid and will force elderly people out of nursing homes and prevent children from receiving care (as well as plenty of adults, who are deserving of healthcare as well).
