I grew up being trained for tragedy. Drills and seminars all to teach what to do when there is an active shooter. I’ve even had to participate in three lockdowns in one week my sophomore year of high school. With what happened yesterday at Abundant Life Christian School only ten minutes from my home I am angry. The community is angry. As our politicians you are supposed to represent the people. How many more people have to die before you choose your people over your bank account? The NRA should have no say in politics. The fact that they oppose common sense laws shows how money orientated they are. So when you oppose gun laws and restrictions you show you care more about your bank account than the people you serve. So with what happened yesterday and all the times of past gun violence in WI, I hope you know that the blood spilled is on your hands. Thoughts and prayers don’t prevent this from continuing to happen. So wake up and finally do something to protect the PEOPLE YOU SERVE.
