An Open Letter

To: Rep. Lynch, Sen. Warren, Sen. Markey

From: A constituent in Abington, MA

February 18

Across the nation on Presidents Day, thousands took to the streets to voice their opposition to the recent actions and policies of the Trump administration and key advisor Elon Musk. Protesters braved frigid temperatures, marching and rallying under the banner of "No kings on Presidents Day." From Boston to Phoenix, diverse crowds carried signs declaring "This is a Coup" and "Deport Musk, Dethrone Trump," making clear their rejection of perceived anti-democratic overreach and consolidation of power. This widespread public outcry cannot be ignored. The people have spoken through their constitutional right to free speech and assembly. They demand a course correction away from executive overreach, prioritization of the wealthy over the people, and disregard for democratic norms. Failure to heed these protests risks further dividing the nation and eroding trust in our institutions. I urge you to take decisive action to address the legitimate grievances voiced by your constituents across this country. Restore robust checks and balances. Protect civil liberties and Constitutional rights. Serve all Americans equally, not just the privileged few. The people have clearly stated their will - now is the time to change course and work to unite, not further divide, our nation.
