I'm asking you to oppose approval of the pipeline proposed to run through our state. This project threatens our water, our land, and our communities for the profit of out-of-state corporations. Pipelines leak. When they do, they contaminate groundwater that families depend on for drinking water and farmers need for crops. The cleanup costs fall on taxpayers while the company walks away. We've seen this pattern play out in other states, and we shouldn't let it happen here. The economic arguments don't hold up either. The jobs are temporary construction work, and most of the oil or gas will pass straight through to other markets. We take on all the risk of spills and environmental damage while seeing almost none of the benefit. Our state deserves better than being a corridor for fossil fuel companies to move their product. Vote no on this pipeline. Protect our water and our future.
