There has been an announcement that ICE is ending its surge enforcement action in Maine, “Operation Catch of the Day.” I don’t believe this for a moment. The Trump administration will continue its illegal actions designed to terrorize good Americans into compliance. Their goal is to ensure they hold onto power, and they will use all tools at their disposal to achieve this goal. Our country is currently run by fascists. Our constitution is under attack. Trump will do everything possible to prevent a fair election this year, because he knows the midterm election will finally come with some long-overdue accountability and that will put a stop to all his self-dealing and looting. He has already told us that this is his fear. When will Congress listen to the words he says? Better yet, why do we have to wait for Democrats to take charge for even a modicum of accountability and enforcement of our Constitution?
