I'm writing tonight to ask you to support the FIRM Act, which would prevent financial discrimination from banks and payment processors. Being blocked from financial support due to your occupation or political affiliation has gone on for too long, becoming a bludgeoning stick to use against disfavored speech and punishing others without consideration. The FIRM Act would restrict this method of soft censorship and would rightfully punish banks and payment processors that actively acquiesce to the demands of powerful groups that seek to silence others.
