I am your constituent, and I am writing to demand you fulfill your oath to defend the Constitution. You are only defending your party and Trump. When will you defend the Constitution?
The Trump administration has taken actions that collectively represent an unprecedented assault on our system of government:
Attacks on Democratic Institutions
Fired independent agency heads in defiance of Supreme Court precedent
Dismantled USAID and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau without congressional approval
Used DOGE to cut congressionally appropriated spending unilaterally
Refused to comply with federal court orders
Invoked the Alien Enemies Act in peacetime to bypass due process
Attacks on the Rule of Law
Pardoned all January 6th rioters, including those convicted of violence
Fired Inspectors General across agencies without required notice
Weaponized DOJ against perceived political enemies
Threatened judges and prosecutors by name
Attacks on Civil Liberties & the Press
Revoked security clearances of political opponents
Barred AP from the White House over editorial decisions
Sought to strip birthright citizenship (ruled unconstitutional)
Deployed immigration enforcement as political intimidation
Abuse of Executive Power
Issued executive orders overriding existing law
Used tariffs unilaterally to circumvent Congress's trade authority
Pressured private companies and law firms with executive threats
Threatened to withhold federal funds to coerce states
These are not policy disagreements — they are constitutional violations. History will judge those who stayed silent.
I urge you to co-sponsor legislation reaffirming congressional oversight, speak publicly against executive overreach, and vote to hold this administration accountable.
Your oath is to the Constitution. Honor it.
