Oppose age verification laws!

To: Sen. Ossoff, Rep. Carter, Sen. Warnock

From: A constituent in Hinesville, GA

June 27, 2025

I'm writing to ask you to oppose any age verification bills and proposals coming down the pike, which I am certain they are. Age verification laws have long been proven to be largely ineffective, yet they continue to be touted as a solution to minors accessing adult material on the Internet. No matter what the Supreme Court thinks as of today, it's still unconstitutional to impose age verification laws nationally and federally. Texas has not applied ANY standard to its age verification law, and the Fifth Circuit is occupied by Heritage Foundation and Federalist judges. They essentially overturned years of precedent just to appease Christian Nationalist groups.
