Vilifying trans people will not fix any of the problems we face as a country. Stand against anti-transgender legislation and refuse to let this community be used as a political prop. A new survey from The 19th and YouGov finds that 45% of Americans now oppose bans on gender-affirming care for transgender youth, compared to only 38% who support them. Even among Republicans, opposition runs at 42% — hardly the mandate that anti-trans legislators claim to have.
