Why is this going unchecked?

To: Rep. McDonald Rivet

From: A constituent in Midland, MI

May 26

I am writing to express deep concern over Representative Randy Fine’s escalating rhetoric, particularly his recent remarks calling for Gaza to be “nuked” like Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Such statements are not only inflammatory but also dangerously incite violence and violate the ethical standards expected of elected officials. Fine’s comments, including his characterization of the Palestinian cause as “evil” and his comparison of Palestinians to Nazis, reflect a pattern of dehumanization and extremism. His remarks have drawn widespread condemnation, yet the House has failed to take meaningful action to censure or hold him accountable. I urge you to take a stand against this dangerous rhetoric. Congress must uphold its ethical responsibilities and ensure that such calls for mass violence do not go unchecked. Silence in the face of such statements is complicity. I ask that you publicly denounce Fine’s remarks and support efforts to censure him. Thank you for your time and attention to this urgent matter. I look forward to your response.
