The FDA abruptly canceled its upcoming advisory committee meeting to select the strains for next year's flu shot. There's a 6-month production cycle, so now is the time that strains need to be selected so that vaccine makers can prepare. Flu is dangerous; the virus mutates regularly. Herd immunity from a high vaccination rate protects us all. Demand that the FDA perform this vital work to protect our vulnerable seniors, children and immune-compromised individuals. Thank you for working to safeguard our health.
