I desperately urge you to pass immediate legislation blocking ICE and DNS from targeting churches. Their plan to raid houses of worship is utterly disgusting and patently immoral. Churches synagogues and mosques have historically been places of refuge and sanctuary, And it's an affront to any decent human being to imagine rounding up innocent people as they worship on Christmas is anything less than inhumane. Congress must act now to block ICE and DHS from attacking our country's places of worship. It shouldn't have to be said that a government should serve its people, not attack them as they worship.
