The situation in northern Gaza is horrific and unacceptable. A campaign of starvation and extermination against the civilian population cannot be tolerated. We must demand an immediate ceasefire and an end to the brutal blockade. Denying people basic necessities like food, water, and medical care is a grave violation of human rights and international law. This will only breed more violence, suffering and extremism. The proposed plans by some Israeli officials to forcibly expel or essentially commit genocide against those remaining in northern Gaza are abhorrent and must be forcefully rejected. We cannot stand by and allow such atrocities. Humanitarian aid must be allowed into the area without obstruction to alleviate the dire conditions. The cycle of violence and collective punishment against Palestinian civilians must stop immediately. A just and peaceful resolution that respects human dignity on all sides is urgently needed.
