Trump is continuing his trend of picking offsite countries with poor human rights records for his latest third country deportation plan: Libya. Libya is a lawless nation where executions, torture and slave markets occur without consequences. There is a standing travel advisory recommending that American citizens don't travel to Libya because it is too dangerous. And this is the country Trump proposes to send migrants to. This effort was another attempt at violating the March 28 and April 18 court orders by Judge Brian E. Murphy banning deportation of migrants to third countries without due process. The administration seems determined to bulldoze through law and order to enact their human rights violations. As expressed by US Rep Pramila Jayapal "The Trump administration must follow and abide by the court order. Whether it is Libya or El Salvador, or anywhere else in the world – people cannot be deported from this country without due process. " Please speak in support of Judge Brian E. Murphy's court orders and against attempts to circumvent justice to advance Project 2025's inhumane mass deportations with total disregard for human rights or due process.
