President Trump’s attempt to pressure Ukraine into giving up territory to Russia isn’t diplomacy—it’s capitulation. A ceasefire that lets Putin keep what he’s stolen would rewrite the rules of international order and reward raw aggression.
We’ve seen this before. Appeasement didn’t stop tyranny in the 20th century—it fueled it. If Russia keeps Crimea or Donbas by force, what stops China from eyeing Taiwan? What stops the next dictator from testing the line?
Ukraine doesn’t need lectures on compromise. They’ve sacrificed lives to defend the very freedoms we claim to champion. They need our backbone—not our betrayal.
Congress must act. Speak up, publicly and without equivocation. No U.S.-supported ceasefire should include territorial concessions. No American administration should help Russia redraw borders at gunpoint.
This moment matters. Please lead with strength, not silence.
