An Open Letter

To: Sen. King, Rep. Pingree, Sen. Collins

From: A constituent in Damariscotta, ME

July 26

**Demand Full Compliance With the Epstein Files Transparency Act** Judge Emmet Sullivan has already concluded that the DOJ is violating the Epstein Files Transparency Act, and now Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche has until July 30 to hand over unredacted documents for court review. I want you to publicly demand the DOJ comply fully and immediately — no appeals, no delays, no more stonewalling. The records being hidden include FBI interview notes, communications about a so-called "torture video," and draft indictment materials. These aren't bureaucratic technicalities. They are evidence of potential horrific crimes against CHILDREN that MUST BE PROPERLY INVESTIGATED AND PEOPLE NAMED IN THE FILES CHARGED, TRIED, AND SENT TO JAIL. Nothing less is acceptable. In addition, the public has a legal right to see them. The DOJ's plan to appeal Sullivan's ruling is a transparent attempt to run out the clock on accountability. This administration does not get to decide which laws apply to it or their rich ‘friends.’ The Epstein Files Transparency Act exists precisely because Congress recognized that executive self-interest cannot be trusted to govern disclosure. Hold the line on this. Make clear that obstruction of a court order is not a political option. If you don’t speak out every day about this, your inaction says you are complacent with child trafficking, rape, torture, and murder.
