I am an airline for a major U.S. carrier, and I strongly urge you to support the Mental Health in Aviation Act. For my 37 years in aviation, dealing with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has been the most frustrating aspect of government bureaucracy I’ve ever encountered. Although I haven’t personally faced any mental health challenges, the FAA’s stance has prevented other pilots from seeking necessary treatment.
