Again I’m writing to express my complete disdain over Sen. Cory Booker’s recent comments regarding how Democrats will respond to Trump. He stated, “Elections matter” and acknowledged, “we do not control the House, and we're in a minority in the Senate, and we don't control the White House. That gives them tremendous power, even within the bounds of how our democracy is supposed to work.”
While it’s true that elections matter, this defeatist attitude is unacceptable. We cannot simply resign ourselves to being powerless!
It is crucial for you and your Democratic colleagues to actively fight back against the dangerous policies and rhetoric coming from the this fascist regime. Saying we’re in the minority is not an excuse for inaction. We need bold leadership that prioritizes defending our democracy, not just accepting the status quo. If Democrats are to have any hope of regaining power, it starts with demonstrating a willingness to stand up and fight for our values. I want to be clear: I will continue to write to you about these issues, and calling out this disgrace of a party if you maintain such pathetic stances. Please take a strong stance and lead the charge against this threat to our democracy or get out of the way so someone who knows what to do can get to work!
