Reverse course immediately and stop compensating January 6 rioters with taxpayer money. These were not martyrs or political prisoners — they were convicted criminals who beat police officers, smashed through the Capitol, and attempted to destroy a democratic election. Handing them public funds is corruption. Full stop. Every dollar sent to these individuals is stolen from law-abiding Americans who had nothing to do with that assault. The officers who defended the Capitol were beaten, traumatized, and killed. Cutting checks to the people who did that to them is a betrayal of every taxpayer in this country. End this now.
