**Stop ICE Force-Feeding of Detainees - it is TORTURE** Congress must call for an investigation of torture practices in ice, including force-feeding of detained immigrants. The Guardian has documented at least 10 cases since January 2025 in which ICE sought court orders to forcibly restrain detainees and insert nasogastric tubes down their throats. One Afghan man endured this daily for nearly six months. "What they are doing qualifies as torture," said Dr. Kate Sugarman, a Washington DC family practice physician. These people are not criminal and are receiving no due process . Imagine if this were your family member . In 60% of cases they don’t have legal representation, records are sealed, orders are issued without hearings. This is a system set up for abuse of fellow human beings. Congress has the power to investigate and defund these practices. I want you to demand a full congressional investigation into ICE's use of forced medical procedures, push to end the use of emergency court orders that bypass detainee representation, and cut funding that enables this abuse. Torture carried out by a government agency with taxpayer money is not a partisan issue. It's a moral one.
