Oppose the 'must-pass' package bills. Fix and narrow existing laws.

The Sammy Act and COPPA 2.0 show promise, but they are still fundamentally flawed. The App Accountability Act suffers from the same problems that KOSA does by imposing duty of care on apps and websites. Roblox and Discord have had numerous hacks, leaks, scams and instances of child grooming and exploitation AFTER duty of care was required to operate in Australia and the UK. A congresswoman in a state that requires ID and face scans to access the Internet was victimized by exploiters who took h personal information to spread on an unregulated pirate site that specializes in making and disseminating nonconsensual material of people. SESTA and FOSTA have banned sex workers from doing their work safely online, and yet deepfake CSAM still is present on sites that have enacted age verification, like YouTube. These 'must-pass' bills have either gone too far and criminalized purely fictional content such as novels and graphic novels, or they fail to assist law enforcement, forcing them to crawl through images of things that do not qualify as CSAM or non-consensual photo dissemination, wasting time and money that could have been used to save kids from being trafficked at churches or abused in schools and at home. Repeal obscenity laws, vote against these bills and fix these bad laws!
