Reject the SAVE act

To: Sen. Britt, Sen. Tuberville

From: A verified voter in Huntsville, AL

February 22

I urge you to reconsider your support for the SAVE act. We should be working to encourage voting, not make it harder. It is well-known that voter fraud is negligible and has never affected an outcome in federal elections. The SAVE act is a bad solution in search of a problem. For me, the worst aspect is the war on early and mail-in voting. As an Alabamian, I have always envied my relatives who live in other states and have mail-in voting. Being restricted to same-day-in-person voting, if I wake up sick on election day I am just out of luck. Voting by mail eliminates this problem. Cramming all voting into one day is a means of restricting voting, not encouraging it. We know that Secretary Noem said the quiet part out loud when she said that she wants "the right people" to vote. No, we want all eligible voters to vote. Please reject the SAVE act.
