Furthermore, the proposed ban on acknowledging and supporting transgender and non-binary students is deeply troubling. Every child deserves to feel safe, respected, and accepted for who they are. Denying the existence and experiences of these students not only undermines their well-being but also perpetuates harmful stigma and discrimination. I urge you to reject House Bill 1193 and instead prioritize policies that promote inclusivity, respect, and support for all students in Mississippi public schools.
