I am your constituent, and I urge you to support the impeachment and removal of President Donald Trump over his remarks about Iran attacking Los Angeles and San Diego.
At his October 5, 2026, rally in Grand Island, Nebraska, Trump said: “Let them take out Los Angeles. Let them take out San Diego.”
The president has a duty to protect every American, regardless of where we live or how we vote. Speaking this way about American cities during a war is unacceptable. These communities include millions of civilians, military personnel, and their families. Their safety is not a punchline.
The White House says Trump was describing threats his administration seeks to prevent. Congress should examine the full recording and context, but that explanation does not erase his words or eliminate the need for accountability.
I ask my representative to support an immediate impeachment inquiry and articles of impeachment addressing this grave breach of presidential responsibility. I ask my senators to support a thorough trial if the House impeaches him, and to vote for conviction and removal if the evidence establishes impeachable misconduct.
Congress should also investigate whether any communications, directives, or actions encouraged an attack or compromised these cities’ protection. Whether criminal treason can be proven is a separate legal question; Congress must fulfill its own constitutional responsibilities.
Please respond specifically: Do you support impeachment proceedings, and what concrete action will you take? A general statement of concern is not enough.
No American city is expendable. Your duty is to the Constitution and the people you represent.
