Demand Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s Removal as HHS Secretary

To: Sen. Peters, Sen. Slotkin, Rep. Tlaib

From: A verified voter in Livonia, MI

June 8

Remove Robert F. Kennedy Jr. from his position as Secretary of Health and Human Services. His leadership has been so catastrophically absent that the department is now rudderless during active public health crises — a measles outbreak killed two children in Texas, hantavirus cases are emerging among cruise passengers, and Ebola continues spreading in Africa. Kennedy reportedly hasn't visited the CDC in nearly a year and works only six hours a day when in Washington. The structural damage is just as alarming. There is no permanent NIH director, no surgeon general, no FDA commissioner, and no CDC chief — Kennedy fired Susan Monarez in August after clashing over vaccine policy, triggering further resignations. Veteran scientists and public health experts have left en masse. In September, nearly every living former CDC director stated he is endangering every American's health. Six former U.S. surgeons general echoed that warning in October. This isn't a policy disagreement. It's dereliction of duty. While real crises go unmanaged, Kennedy pursues a personal anti-vaccine agenda and films a taxpayer-funded podcast. Congress has both the authority and the obligation to act. Start impeachment proceedings now.
