Hearing that President Biden pardoned his son Hunter was the best news I heard in a month. The pearls clutching about a president pardoning his son defies logic, the Constitution, and morality. 1) the Constitution gives the president unconditional power to pardon whoever he wants to. 2) I can not think of a modern day president who did not pardon someone that the press said should not be pardoned. Trump did not even bother to pretend there was any justification for the felons he pardoned other than nepotism or cronyism. 3) President Biden’s pardon of Hunter meets a standard of moral high ground: a) all lawyers worth a penny have stated this prosecution ONLY HAPPENED BECAUSE HUNTER’S NAME IS BIDEN, b) the person is remorseful and has made amends, 3) it is clear the Trump administration was targeting him for vengeance. My read is if President Biden did not pardon Hunter it would be presidential malfeasance. Support President Biden’s decision.
