Ban lead ammunition on federal lands. The science on this is settled: spent lead fragments contaminate the food chain, poisoning scavengers like bald eagles and California condors, and exposing hunters and their families to toxic residue in the meat they eat. Non-toxic alternatives like copper ammunition are widely available and perform just as well. Federal lands belong to all of us. Allowing lead ammunition to keep poisoning wildlife and waterways on public land is a policy choice, not an inevitability. I want you to support a ban and push for its enforcement across all federal land management agencies.
