I am writing to urge you to vote in favor of Representative Massie’s Amendment to the National Security, State Department, and Related Programs (NSRP) Appropriations Act for FY27 striking funding for Israel’s military. The Amendment would remove $3.3 billion in Foreign Military Financing for Israel, and prohibit any other taxpayer funding of Israel via the Bill. My taxes should not support war crimes by a foreign country. They should not pay for the arming of a foreign military that has acted in violation of international law. And they should not enable the military capabilities of a country that has dragged the United States into an unnecessary war with Iran that has cost us the lives of U.S. servicemembers and threatened to pull the world into an economic depression. Israel is a wealthy country that is fully capable of paying for its own defense. The vote on this Amendment is a vital opportunity to make clear that it is time we stop paying for their mistakes. Oppose Cloture unless and until there are amendments that would strip these provisions out of the NDAA.
