I'm your constituent and I'm contacting ALL my elected officials bc it is critical that you be vocal in opposing H.R. 1, the budget reconciliation bill, and its harmful cuts to vital government programs. We need EVERYONE to work towards defeating this bill. Even if you're not a U.S. Senator, you must use your influence and speak up! This will negatively impact us all. Specifically, I'm very concerned about: 1. The massive increase to the federal deficit. 2. The devastating cuts to Medicaid. 3. The restrictions on Medicare eligibility and increased cost burden for Medicare-Medicaid dual enrollees. 4. The funding increase for ICE and Trump's mass deportation operation. 5. The sale of millions of acres of public lands to private buyers and fossil fuel companies. 6. The widespread roll back of clean energy tax incentives and climate protections. 7. The unprecedented funding cuts to SNAP. 8. The unconstitutional limits on a court's ability to issue certain rulings. 9. The funding cuts to gender-affirming care for patients of all ages. 10. The funding cuts to Planned Parenthood clinical care. 11. The 10-year ban on state AI regulation. 12. The private school voucher program that pulls money from public schools. 13. The increased tax on college endowments. 14. The changes to student loan access and repayment options. 15. The changes to federal worker pay and benefits. 16. The defunding of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. 17. The elimination of gun silencer taxes. I expect my elected officials to ALWAYS act in the best interests of the people they serve. This includes implementing fair and responsible budgets that help working families and communities and NEVER slashing our benefits to fund tax cuts for the wealthy. Don't bow down to billionaires! Stand strong with the people!
