I’m writing today as a concerned member of your district (and member of The Peacemakers Network) regarding the urgent need for peace in Palestine and the broader Middle East. I am calling to strongly urge the Senator to support the Joint Resolutions of Disapproval introduced by Senator Sanders and others, which would halt over $20 billion in U.S. arms sales to Israel. The escalating violence in Palestine is increasingly recognized as a genocide, with civilian targets destroyed and humanitarian aid blocked, in clear violation of international law. American taxpayer dollars should not support these atrocities. I respectfully ask that Senator [Warren/Markey] cosponsor and vote for the Joint Resolutions of Disapproval. It’s vital that the U.S. take a stand for peace, justice, and the protection of human rights in the region
