An Open Letter

To: Sen. Peters, Rep. Moolenaar, Sen. Slotkin

From: A constituent in Rockford, MI

June 27

Enforce Accountability for the Withheld Epstein Files I am a voting constituent writing regarding the Department of Justice's ongoing defiance of the bipartisan Epstein Files Transparency Act. Despite the clear mandates of this law, the DOJ has repeatedly acted to downplay, block, and heavily restrict the release of critical case files. Recent revelations of panicked White House Situation Room meetings regarding political exposure further underscore a deliberate effort to shield powerful figures from public scrutiny. Survivors of Jeffrey Epstein’s horrific sex trafficking ring have been denied justice for far too long, and the American public deserves a full accounting of those who participated in, enabled, or helped conceal these crimes. By allowing the DOJ to unlawfully withhold these records without consequence, Congress signals that politically connected individuals are above the law. I urge you to take immediate, decisive action. You must demand the unredacted release of all legally mandated documents, launch a full congressional investigation into political interference within the DOJ, and hold public hearings. There must be strict institutional consequences for obstruction of this transparency.
