I am writing to express deep outrage and concern over recent reports that the Trump-aligned political establishment is considering the release of Ghislaine Maxwell—and even more troubling, the possibility of using her testimony to manipulate public perception around the Epstein case for political gain.
This is a grotesque distortion of justice.
Ghislaine Maxwell is not a whistleblower. She is a convicted trafficker of minors. Her release should not even be entertained, let alone leveraged as political theater. The fact that her name is being floated as a potential “witness” in any congressional hearing, without equally aggressive efforts to center the victims of Jeffrey Epstein’s trafficking operation, is appalling.
Rather than entertaining the fantasy of giving Maxwell a platform, Congress should be issuing formal invitations to the survivors—those whose voices have been silenced, ignored, or co-opted for decades. They deserve a public platform. They deserve to be heard. They deserve to tell the truth without being weaponized as pawns in yet another election year.
We must call this what it is: a coordinated attempt to reshape the narrative, distract the public, and possibly protect powerful individuals—some of whom are still politically active—by redirecting focus onto a singular villain while burying systemic complicity.
As your constituent, I demand that you stand on the side of justice. Speak out against any efforts to free Ghislaine Maxwell. Reject any proposal that treats her testimony as legitimate without first centering the survivors. And hold accountable any current or former government officials who had involvement with Epstein or who seek to manipulate this scandal for political protection.
This is not just about one woman or one case. It is about whether Congress serves the powerful or protects the vulnerable.
Do the right thing.
