US citizens and being demanded to prove it by ICE.

Do you believe US citizens should be required to furnish "paperwork" proving they are citizens upon request by ICE to avoid arrest and detention? If so, explain how this is not a violation of the 4th Amendment of the US Constitution. Does this mean I have to walk around my own country with my passport at all times in case an ICE agent decides to check my citizenship? I'm a white male of European descent, not Hispanic.
