I call upon my representatives to recognize Edmundo González Urrutia as the sole legitimate president of Venezuela as an overwhelming mandate has decided in the past elections and lend all due support to the call which he has made for new elections under free and fair conditions. Senator Cornyn in particular will benefit greatly from acceding to the just demands of the oppressed people of Venezuela in this matter.
