I am writing to express my profound outrage and sorrow over Israel’s continued military onslaught in Gaza, which has reached catastrophic levels. The deliberate and sustained bombing of civilian areas, the blocking of critical humanitarian aid, and the mass displacement and killing of innocent people, including children, amount to nothing less than a genocide in plain sight.
The refusal to allow sufficient food, water, and medical supplies into Gaza is a blatant violation of international humanitarian law. Starvation should never be used as a weapon of war. Yet, this is exactly what is happening, and the United States’ continued support—financial, military, and political—makes us complicit in these atrocities.
We are watching entire families be wiped out, hospitals destroyed, and a population denied the most basic necessities for survival. This is not self-defense. This is collective punishment and ethnic cleansing.
I urge you to immediately call for a permanent ceasefire, an end to all U.S. military aid and weapons transfers to Israel, and full accountability for what can only be described as crimes against humanity. Our values mean nothing if we do not act now.
History is watching. Your response will matter.
