It is obvious the Trump administration is using the government shutdown to target ‘blue’ states and cities, further dividing the country and creating major harm to Americans of both political parties. They are violating the Hatch Act with the political ‘notes’ on government emails blaming the Democrats for the shutdown.. Using the shutdown to fire more people is another step away from democracy and towards decimating the government, eliminating anyone with knowledge and expertise so lackeys can be installed. This administration has no interest in bringing the country together. Trump & Co. continue to demonize anyone/organization/company/university who doesn’t agree with their policies — though many of their policies are violations of the constitution.They are using extortion and blackmail in the attempt to reach their political goals. This administration is determined to destroy America and turn us into a 2nd world country. Our status as a democracy has been downgraded. And it’s only been a few months. Will America survive 4 years of Trump and his minions? I seriously doubt it UNLESS Congress decides to reclaim its power as an equal branch of government. I weep for America.
