The Texas Voting Map disenfranchises the Democratic Majority. Should be Illegal!

To: Rep. Jones, Gov. Abbott, Sen. West, Lt. Gov. Patrick

From: A verified voter in Dallas, TX

July 30

This new gerrymandered map disenfranchises the majority of voters in our state. So we (TX) went from 25 Republican seats and 13 Democratic seats to 30 republican and 8 democrat. If you followed the Independent Voter Project which has Texas voters at 46.5% Democrats, 37.9% Republican and 15.6% Independent and split the Indy between both parties it should be mapped with 21 Democrat and 17 Republican seats. That would be a fair map. The Gerrymandering project at Princeton gave the previous map an F. Will this one get an F-? You are doing a disservice to the voters of this state. Stop the madness.
