Prioritize scientific truth, reject medical misinformation endangering public health

To: Rep. DesJarlais, Sen. Hagerty, Sen. Blackburn

From: A constituent in Rockvale, TN

April 24

RFK Jr.'s alarming claims that various medical conditions did not exist during his childhood reflect a dangerously flawed understanding. Conditions like ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, and juvenile diabetes were indeed present, just not widely discussed or understood at the time. Scientific knowledge evolves, enabling better recognition and treatment of existing ailments. His suggestion that these represent new diseases caused by modern factors like vaccines is unfounded and contradicts overwhelming evidence. We must reject such misinformation that undermines public health. I urge you to support policies prioritizing robust healthcare access, research funding, and science-based policymaking to effectively address medical challenges old and new. Protecting our nation's well-being requires upholding scientific truth over unsubstantiated conspiracy theories that jeopardize public welfare.
