I am your constituent and I want to point out that another pregnant woman has died because she was denied the abortion that would save her life. Tierra Walker, of Austin Texas was 37, and had high blood pressure and diabetes and knew she was at risk of preeclampsia having had it years earlier. It led to her twins being still born. The doctor told her it was not an emergency and the abortion would only improve her health so - NO. Shortly after she died at home.
You actually have it in your hands to prevent needless deaths like hers and yet here we are. I demand that the Women’s Health Protection Act be put on the table. 63% of all Americans want legal safe abortion according to a recent Pew Research poll. They do not want women dying needlessly, Do you?
I urge you to do everything in your power and start representing the majority of Americans who want safe legal abortion everywhere in this country. Pass the Women’s Health Protection Act and start saving women. They don’t deserve to die needlessly.
