Yet another state is trying to take away American rights. Though I am a FL citizen resident and taxpayer, nearby NC House and Senate Joint Committee will be debating House Bill 328, and the new Senate version now includes language that would ban kratom by scheduling it.
I am contacting the North Carolina Committee now to tell you: I Support the House version of consumer protection bill. there is absolutely no reason whatsoever to ban Kratom leaf products which have given me and many of my colleagues a great deal of relief from painful ailments and mood issues. We should be studying this plant for its incredible properties as it is far more beneficial than marijuana, alcohol, caffeine or tobacco, which are all legal. It is also infinitely less dangerous, especially when it's in an original plant form.
As Americans, we should have the freedom to participate in this plant, which does not have psychoactive effects or detox any heavier than quitting coffee. The only thing that should be banned are extracts and compounds like 7OH which the federal government has already taken care of. The crayon plant has been around for thousands of years and it is absolutely sinful to keep it's healing properties away from Americans. Somehow, false and misleading narratives about kratom are being used to influence policymakers, the public, and regulatory agencies. Please protect our freedom and legal access to natural kratom.
