This militarization further makes Palau a target for global conflicts, placing an undue burden on its communities and eroding their rights to self-determination. As citizens, we cannot remain complicit in actions that perpetuate environmental harm and violate international human rights standards. I am calling on you to: 1. Advocate for an immediate halt to U.S. military activities in Palau that damage the environment and infringe upon Indigenous rights. 2. Push for a comprehensive investigation into these actions, ensuring transparency and accountability for any violations of environmental and human rights laws. 3. Support initiatives that prioritize the sovereignty and environmental preservation of Palauan communities in U.S. military planning and broader foreign policies.
