Repeal transgender bathroom bans. A person's gender at birth doesn't always reflect a person's reality, and forcing trans people into bathrooms they don't identify with doesn't improve anything — it creates real harm with no documented safety benefit.
These laws don't keep men out of women's spaces. They legally require some men to enter them. That's not a hypothetical — it's exactly what happened at Long Branch Lagoon Water Park in Dodge City, Kansas, where bearded, visibly masculine trans men were mandated by law to use the women's changing area. Police were called. Children were rushed out. The manager had never even heard of the law. That is the real-world outcome of bathroom bans: confusion, confrontation, and danger for trans people who are simply trying to exist in public.
Trans residents are forced to choose between their safety and obeying the law. Bathroom bans are difficult to enforce, have faced legal challenges across the country, and produce no measurable safety benefit. The only documented outcome is harm. Vote to repeal these laws.
