Urgently act to end starvation at the hands of our ally

To: Sen. Slotkin, Rep. Scholten, Sen. Peters

From: A constituent in Grand Rapids, MI

July 21

According to a PBS article, today, Israelis killed 89 Palestinians seeking aid from a food convoy. The report says: “A U.N. official, speaking on condition of anonymity because they were not allowed to comment on the incident to the media, said Israeli forces opened fire toward crowds who tried to take food from the convoy. Footage taken by the U.N. and shared with the AP showed Palestinian men running as automatic gunfire was heard.“ When will enough be enough? When will you act? The people of Gaza are now starving to death and the United States must urgently act to restrain its ally, Israel, from committing genocide. We are complicit in crimes against humanity. As your constituent who voted you into office, I urge you to bring this matter to the floor and act now. Demand Israel lift its blockade and end its war crimes. I know that you have received hundreds of thousands of dollars from pro-Israel lobbyists. As Israel continues to decimate Gaza, murdering tens of thousands — including children and babies — along with wild animals and pets, this is now blood money. Now is the time to stop taking payment for your silence. You have been elected to represent ME, not Israel. Your constituents demand that you act to stop genocide.
