Millions of Americans spent the weekend worrying about rent, groceries, and whether their children could be sent into another war. The President spent the weekend at his private resort playing golf. While families cut back on food and delay medical care, the federal government has failed to lower the costs that are squeezing them.
Congress must act to bring down healthcare costs. Americans pay the highest healthcare prices in the world and millions still skip treatment because they cannot afford it. Pass legislation that lowers prescription drug prices, caps hospital price gouging, and reduces insurance premiums that keep rising faster than wages.
Congress must also end tariffs that raise prices on American families and punish U.S. businesses. These tariffs increase the cost of materials, consumer goods, and food while forcing small companies to close or cut jobs. Repeal the tariffs that are driving up prices and harming American businesses.
Federal lawmakers must reform Customs and Border Protection and the Department of Homeland Security so they answer to the public. Strengthen oversight, enforce transparency, and hold officials accountable for misconduct and abuse of authority.
Finally, protect the right to vote. Vote against the SAVE Act and reject gerrymandering schemes that dilute representation and silence voters. Defend fair elections and ensure every eligible American can vote and be represented in our democracy.
