Investigate the corruption consuming this administration before it becomes permanently untouchable. Trump has now floated pardoning everyone around him, including himself, to ensure no one "has to hire lawyers." That is not a president protecting his team. That is a confession dressed up as generosity.
The evidence is everywhere. The administration killed a CFTC insider trading referral after analysts flagged billions in oil contracts placed 15 minutes before Trump announced he had changed course on striking Iran. A Washington Post investigation found that 57 donors giving $100,000 or more to Trump's White House ballroom project are "the vast majority" companies and individuals with active interests before the federal government. Nvidia and Apple each pledged $25 million. That is not philanthropy. That is access, bought and paid for through a nonprofit that funnels money into an account Trump personally controls.
A new Fox News poll found that 88% of voters are worried about government corruption. That number should alarm every elected official. The pardon power was never designed as a blanket escape hatch for an administration under investigation. Using it that way is not governance. It is obstruction. Congress must act, hold hearings, demand records, and make clear that no one, including the president, is above the law.
