NO WAR WITH IRAN

To: Sen. Slotkin, Sen. Peters, Rep. Thanedar

From: A constituent in Lincoln Park, MI

February 28

I am writing with urgency to demand that you take immediate steps to prevent any offensive or preemptive military action against Iran. I want to be absolutely clear: as your constituent, I do not support any offensive or preemptive war with Iran under any circumstances. I also urge you to push for the withdrawal of all U.S. troops from the surrounding region. Their continued presence increases the risk of miscalculation, retaliation, or escalation into a conflict that the American people do not want. President Trump repeatedly stated that he would not involve the United States in new wars. I expect you to hold him to that commitment and to use every authority available to Congress to ensure that no offensive or preemptive military action is taken without full debate, authorization, and a clear justification to the American public. I am asking you to take a clear and public stand: oppose any unauthorized military action, reject any offensive or preemptive strikes, and support immediate diplomatic efforts to de‑escalate tensions. This moment requires decisive leadership. I am urging you to act now to prevent a war that would have devastating consequences.
