Impeach Corrupt Justices and Restore Supreme Court Accountability

To: Rep. DelBene, Sen. Cantwell, Sen. Murray, Pres. Trump

From: A verified voter in Bothell, WA

August 25

The Supreme Court just denied standing to the 20-plus states suing to stop Trump from using the Post Office to withhold mail-in ballots from voters not on his personally assembled lists. Their reasoning: no harm has yet occurred. This is the legal equivalent of watching a convicted arsonist stack gasoline cans against a building and telling the neighbors they have no case until the fire is lit. This court is not behaving like a court. Roberts met with his wife's clients while their cases sat before him. Thomas took gifts from billionaires for years. Alito flew the Appeal to Heaven flag — the symbol of the January 6th insurrectionists — while sedition trials were pending. These are not allegations. They are documented facts, and they demand a response. When a Democratic president takes office, they should immediately issue an Executive Order requiring Supreme Court justices to meet the same ethical standards every other federal judge in this country must follow. If the court refuses — and it will — impeachment proceedings should begin. Congress also owes the American people a straight answer: which clause in the Constitution actually grants the Supreme Court the power to strike down legislation passed by democratically elected representatives? That question deserves a public answer, not a dodge.
