The data privacy and security of American citizens is being compromised by the collusion between private corporations like Palantir and the government. It has been revealed that during the Trump administration, Palantir was granted unprecedented access to databases containing personal information of millions of people, including their addresses, phone numbers, social media activities, and more. This gross violation of privacy enabled unwarranted surveillance and eroded civil liberties on a massive scale. Such overreach by private companies into citizens' personal lives cannot be tolerated in a free society. Strict regulations must be put in place to prohibit private entities from accessing or exploiting sensitive personal data without explicit consent. The government's cavalier attitude towards data privacy enables authoritarian overreach and undermines fundamental democratic principles. Robust data privacy laws that enshrine digital rights and personal sovereignty over information are urgently needed. Corporations must be held accountable for unethical data practices that infringe on civil liberties.
